Registration will be refunded in full if the course is cancelled by the participant more than a month prior to the start of the course, less a $25.00 admin fee.
A $250.00 cancellation fee applies if you cancel your registration within a month of the start of the course. Once the course has started no refund can be issued. 

** Proof of completion of Level 1 is required to begin the course. Please be able to produce the certificate upon request, but you do not need to bring to class.

The New Orthopaedic Division e-Manuals (online) are the required reference materials for this course.  The fee for the e-Manuals is a ONE-TIME fee of $125.00+tax which grants you access to the clinical techniques manual for the highest Level of course you have participated in, as well as the e-Theory Manual. Your access to the "living" updated versions of the manuals will remain in place as long as you participate in an AIM Level Course every two years. If two years lapse since your last course with us, you will still have access to the manuals, but not their future updated versions.

If you have never paid the $125.00 fee you will be provided with instructions to complete the purchase about 2-4 weeks before the start of the course.

If you have paid the $125.00 previously (including at Level 1) your access/permissions will automatically be upgraded about 2-4 weeks before the start of the course.

There are also recommended text books along with the new e-manuals.  You can start looking to purchase the following texts to compliment:

This two-day seminar deals with Brian Mulligan’s concept of the application of mobilization with movement (MWM), an evidence-based and effective approach in manual therapy. Seminar participants will receive access to an online preparatory program of learning. During the in-class skills component, you can expect a syllabus high on practical application with a clear understanding of the rationale for use of MWM’s in both the spine and upper extremities. Dr. Jack Miller BSc(PT), Dip MT(NZ), Dip MSK Med (UK), MClSc, DPT, FCAMPT Dr. Miller completed his BSc in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. He then spent six years in New Zealand where he completed the Post-Graduate Diploma of Manipulative Therapy in 1984 being the first non-New Zealander to do so.

During this program he had the opportunity to be directly mentored by both Robin McKenzie and Brian Mulligan. On returning to Canada, he went on to complete a Masters of Clinical Science at Western University, a Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of St. Augustine in the USA and a Diploma of musculoskeletal medicine from the UK.
 

Jack has been the senior editor of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopaedic Journal, an executive member of the Orthopaedic Division of CPA, the President of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapy, a member of the CPA Specialization accreditation committee, the conference chair for IFOMPT 2012, a reviewer for the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy, and a
founding member of the Mulligan Concept Teacher’s Association.
He has presented at conferences internationally, published research articles in peer-reviewed journals, multiple textbook chapters and taught high level, evidence-based manual therapy courses internationally since 1990. He is a co- director of Key Clinical Skills and now works clinically as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist triaging for fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided spine injections
procedures in Hamilton Ontario.

Course Description: This course will help newer therapists better manage their time, answer patients’ concerns and generally improve the handling of their caseload to make their life easier while improving
patient retention.

Course Objectives: Discuss ways to ensure optimal care in terms of responding to patient needs, giving an exceptional patient experience, and creating a therapeutic alliance. Become familiar with tools to improve communication with other office staff. Practice how to respond and react to difficult patient questions and comments. Become skilled at making a treatment plan (frequency/duration) for various types of injuries and
conditions, then communicating that to the patient as well as to the reception staff.

Originally from Winnipeg, Canada Erin graduated from the University of Manitoba, School of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy in 1995 winning the Marie-Claude Saumure Memorial Award. Erin started teaching Manual Therapy with the AQPMA in 2009, the Quebec Section of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program in both French and English. She also taught the AIM program for the KPTEN organization in Paris, France. Erin began developing her expertise in TMJ, headaches and orofacial pain in 1994 and she developed the first headache lecture for the Graduate Certificate in Chronic Pain Management on-line course at McGill University which she still updates on an as need basis. Erin has been a guest lecturer for McGill University Faculty of Dentistry, Orofacial Pain Course since the 2014-2015 academic year. Erin is the only CRAFTA® Certified Therapist in North America since 2016. CRAFTA (CRAnioFacial Therapy Academy) is an international academy based out of Germany and Holland where Erin is also an assistant teacher. Erin has been a conference presenter on many an occasion including the University of McGill Dental Symposium; la Société Dentaire de Laval; la Société Québécoise de la douleur chronique; Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics (CARDP), the AQPMA among others. Not only does Erin believe in imparting knowledge to others but she also strongly believes in continuing her own education. She has also taken courses from leading researchers around the world including Shirley Sahrmann, Lorimer Moseley, Sean Gibbons, Diane Lee, Andre Vleeming, Paul Hodges and Harry von Piekartz. She also organizes courses with CRAFTA as well two other committees. Erin worked at the McGill Sport Medicine clinic for 14 years working with high level athletes. She now owns two clinical practices, Kinatex Sports Physio Laval and Kinatex Sports Physio Ste-Rose in Laval, Quebec which involves not just imparting physiotherapy knowledge, but also guiding the team of therapists with individual needs to optimize their work productivity and satisfaction.

ÈVE CHAPUT

Ève Chaput graduated with a BSc in Speech-Language Pathology and a BSc in Physical Therapy from the Université de Montréal as well as a Clinical Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy from Western University granting her the title of FCAMPT. In addition to her being a clinic owner and clinician at Kinatex Plateau, she teaches at the Université de Montréal, at Western University, for the Orthopedic Division, has co-created post-graduate courses on TMJ, Somatosensory Tinnitus and optimizing patient
management and published articles on TMJ, the history of manual therapy and evidence-based practice. She sits on the Kinatex Education Committee and the OrthoDiv Adjunct Education Committee and has been honoured with the title of Fellow from the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec and is the second person ever to be recognized nationally with the Carol Kennedy Excellence in Teaching Award.
